The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held an event to commemorate the pilot operation of a large hydrogen truck with Hyundai Motor Company at Kintex, Goyang, Gyeonggi -do, on the 23rd.
The hydrogen truck pilot operation was carried out jointly with the public and private sectors with the participation of Hyundai Motor Company and others in accordance with the 'business agreement for the promotion of the hydrogen truck pilot project'.
A total of 5 hydrogen trucks will be operated through this pilot project, with CJ Korea Express operating 2 units, Hyundai Glovis operating 2 units, and Coupang operating 1 unit.
In addition, the goverment is in line with the eco-friendly vehicle conversion plan for industrial vehicles with a large carbon reduction effect. Various support measures are being implemented to supply 10,000 hydrogen trucks by 2030.
Prior to this, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to check the performance of hydrogen trucks during the pilot operation period in commercialization of date necessary for the spread of hydrogen-based logistics systems.
